ABOUT
Hi there! I'm Maxi.
I am a multimedia artist, filmmaker and immersive experience designer from Bavaria in Germany. Since 2013, I am directing and producing diverse film and multimedia projects, including short films, documentaries, motion graphic works, art/experimental/immersive films, performances and installations.
I have worked on award-winning film projects like La Famille - one afternoon for the whole life (director, producer), Door to Freedom (editor) or COU 175586 LITTLE WARRIOR (motion graphics designer and fulldome consultant).
I grew up in Bavaria, Germany and graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg (Austria) in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts and Design in MultiMediaArt. I then moved on to explore the emerging field of Media Architecture and Fulldome Filmmaking at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Germany) and Sheffield Hallam University (England), graduating with a M.Sc. in 2021 and a MFA in 2023.
I have also worked as a junior researcher in the field of Media Architecture at the University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam (2020-2021) and as an assistant at the Studio Olafur Eliasson in Berlin (2016). Fascinated by the intersection of science, art and communication, I moved on to work as a screenwriter for fulldome film at the science center Visualiseringscenter C in Norrköping (2021-2022) and I still work in science communication today.
